North East security firms and their apprentices are set to receive a boost as a much-needed security training facility has opened its doors in Gateshead.

The workshop, based at Access Training on the Team Valley, was designed and kitted-out in partnership with a number of regional security firms. The facility is aimed at ensuring young people get the opportunity to learn security systems hands-on and is hoped to help to provide more high-quality security apprentices to firms across the region.

Leading accredited provider in England for apprenticeship training in fire and security systems, Banham Academy, have partnered with the National Security Inspectorate (NSI) to launch a free apprenticeship training programme for women to encourage more diversity and inclusion within the industry.
The training will be taking place on 13th - 17th June, 10 - 4pm at Banham Academy, 20 Thornsett Road, London, SW18 4EF.
