Jason O’Reilly works as an Apprentice at Fidelity Integrated Systems based in Orpington, Kent. His hard work has been recognised at both IFSEC's Engineers of Tomorrow competition 2016, where he finished as runner up, and the BSIA's Apprentice of the Year competition, which he won. Jason studied with Skills for Security and passed his Level 1 and 2 exams to a very high standard.
Throughout his Apprenticeship Jason has had a strong commitment to training and in addition to his Skills for Security studies he also regularly trains in-house with the head of his department; as he is keen to help the younger Apprentices. He is very keen to further his skills and knowledge and put that into practice on site.
In addition, Jason is often making suggestions to increase the efficiency or effectiveness of procedures, he also adds a welcome fresh perspective. Recently he took part in an in house brainstorming panel - his suggestions, which are currently being implemented, included developing a maintenance leaflet for Engineers and Apprentices to give to interested clients and ensuring the engineers vans have branded corporate gifts to give to valued clients.
Ken Kay, Managing Director of Fidelity Integrated Systems, is strong supporter of young Apprentices: “The team at Fidelity Integrated Systems are very proud of the great success of our young apprentice Jason O'Reilly in the Engineers of Tomorrow, UK Apprentice and Young Engineers Competition 2015. Jason was awarded the prestigious runners up prize in the keenly fought competition against the pinnacle of apprentice engineers from across the country. Fidelity we have a long term commitment to Apprenticeship schemes and our Apprentices are amongst our most valued employees. We are delighted that Jason has been recognised for attaining the highest professional standards on the global stage. His achievement in the Engineers of Tomorrow competition is testament to the dedication and ethos of all our Apprentices and Engineers at Fidelity.”
