The competition also helps to raise the profile of engineering apprenticeships and the opportunities they represent within the sector.
This year, due to Covid restrictions, the regional heats will take place remotely in a digital format. The main event will then take place at IFSEC and FIREX International in July, where the winners of the regionals will compete in a live installation challenge. The winners of the electronic security competition will proceed to the final at WorldSkills UK Live – the nation’s premier skills, apprenticeships and careers event.
